Our
story

SIMPLE IDEAS, BIG AMBITIONS.

Microtek origins.

It was founded in the 80s with the production of the first Italian electronic taximeter. The intuition of two brothers became in a few years a solid industrial company.

At the foundation of this intuition there was the passion for electronics, programming and new technologies in a branch traditionally conservative such as that of taxis.

Therefore, after a couple of years, starting from that taximeter and thanks to people with different experiences a firm has grown steadily, changing the way thousands of taxi drivers work.

1984

BEGINNING

Microtek was established and produced the first digital taximeter.
1989

FIRST SUCCESS

First full automatic dispatching system without operator.
1996

FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS

First dispatching system using GPS to dispatch rides automatically with routing.
2003

NEW CENTURY

GPRS data trasmission and radio channels to manage a taxi fleet.

First Apps for RadioTaxi users available on Stores.
